LearnShare is a product of Loopjet LLC dba LearnLayer, located at 1309 Coffeen Avenue, STE 1200, Sheridan, WY 62502, United States ("we", "us", or "our"). We operate the learnshare.io website and the app.learnshare.io platform (collectively, the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign up using a third-party provider (e.g. Google), we receive basic profile information from that provider.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, course creation and completion activity, browser type, device information, and IP address.

Course Content

We store the course content you create, including text, media, quizzes, and assessments. AI-generated content is processed through third-party AI providers and stored on our servers.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We receive limited billing details (last 4 digits, expiration date, billing address) from Stripe for record-keeping purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process transactions and send related information
  • Generate AI-powered course content and translations on your behalf
  • Send administrative notifications (e.g. security alerts, billing updates)
  • Monitor usage patterns to improve performance and user experience
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following cases:

  • Service providers: We use third-party services (hosting, AI processing, payment processing, email delivery) that process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
  • AI providers: Course content submitted for AI generation is sent to third-party AI services. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and do not use your content to train their models.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase and associated cloud infrastructure providers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
